There is no railway in Dubrovnik, so these trips use buses, boats or small-group tours. Two of them cross a border, so bring your passport. Book the longer trips a day or two ahead in summer.

The town is known for its Old Bridge, the Stari Most, a stone arch over the Neretva river. Visit the old bazaar, try Bosnian coffee and watch for the local divers in summer. It is also a long day with two border crossings, and most people go with a tour.
Tip: border waits can be long in summer, so leave early and keep your passport handy.
